You know you want to continue your pregnancy but maybe you feel unqualified to parent right now. We understand your doubts, and we’re here to offer advice and support.
Am I Ready to Parent?
No parent fully feels ready to parent, especially if faced with an unplanned pregnancy. You might be asking yourself questions like:
- Will my partner or parents support me?
- How will parenting impact my job or education?
- Can I support a child financially?
- What resources are available to help me raise my child?
- Can I stay in school?
- Are there free community resources available?
- Where do I begin?
Before making a pregnancy decision, be sure to confirm your pregnancy. You deserve clarity when it comes to your pregnancy options.
We offer no-cost and confidential pregnancy testing and ultrasound to confirm your pregnancy details. Once you’ve confirmed your pregnancy, we offer no-cost appointment to learn more about your options and the resources available to you.
We’re Here to Help
Prenatal & Parenting Education
Individualized counseling is available for expecting women and/or couples. They can meet weekly/biweekly with a trained lay counselor to learn about prenatal care and childbirth.
Along with valuable parenting education, Crossroads can also help by providing material needs like cribs, car seats, diapers, baby clothes, etc. Referrals to other organizations that can help are available as well.
Generally, people consider pregnancy a “woman’s issue”. At Crossroads, we recognize that men need assistance to help their partners make important life choices. We offer programs to help support men in unexpected pregnancies and programs to educate men in preparation for fatherhood.
Becoming a parent is a big step but not an impossible journey. With the right resources and support, you can do this. Our compassionate team is here to walk you through the questions you’ll need to answer as you consider this option. Schedule an appointment today.
