Missed period? When to test?

Many home pregnancy tests claim to be accurate as early as the first day of a missed period — or even before. You’re likely to get more accurate results, however, if you wait until after the first day of your missed period.

Ultrasound Series: Part 4 Begin Small

As a nurse, I have always thought of my job as purely medical. Performing tests, doing physical assessments, carrying out doctors’ orders – to name some of my obvious responsibilities. Never in my wildest dreams would I have added “blogger” to that list.

Ultrasound Series: Part 3 Heartbeat

“Is that my baby’s heartbeat?” is a question that I hear almost every time I perform an ultrasound. The fetal (baby’s) heartbeat is an important indicator that everything is progressing as it should and a question that most parents want to be answered.

Ultrasound Series: Part 2 – Placement

Hi, it’s Tresa again with the next installment of the ultrasound series. Just to remind everyone, there are 3 questions that I will find the answer to when I perform an ultrasound.

What is an Ultrasound? Part 1

HERE AT CROSSROADS PREGNANCY CENTER, WE OFFER FREE, LIMITED OBSTETRIC ULTRASOUNDS. I WOULD LIKE TO DISCUSS WHAT THIS MEANS TO OUR CLIENTS. I HOPE TO ACCOMPLISH THIS TOPIC IN A 4-PART POST.

There’s No One Like You

The estimated population of the earth is 7.8 billion people. But there is only 1 you in the entire world. Think about that. No one else looks, acts, or thinks exactly like you. No one has had the same experiences that you’ve had.

Looking Forward – Hope

Just some thoughts about life right now. I’m really glad to be back to work, even if there are no patients right now. I think that it is important to remember why Crossroads is here. It’s to affirm the beauty and reality of life and to do that through the example of Jesus Christ

Activities for Your Kids: pt 2

Here is another round-up of online resources and activities for your littles. With so many now staying safe at home, there is an abundance of things out there.

Waiting…

Some of us wait for that pregnancy test result. Three minutes. How many lines? Then when it’s positive, we wait many weeks and months to see that baby. Those in the last trimester right now probably feel pretty anxious —not just for the arrival of the child, but what is here when the baby arrives.

Medical Clinic Update

Because of the current Coronavirus Crisis, Crossroads has made some changes to our in-office services and appointments. Our medical clinics, offering confirmation of pregnancy and STD testing, will reopen on April 1st in Lewistown and April 2nd in Huntingdon.
